I interned abroad and participated in a fully remote position. I loved my internship experience because I was forced to take initiative and be disciplined to create an impact on my company in only 8 weeks in a remote position. I was able to practice my Spanish reading skills, understand how global business differs from business in the U.S., and develop numerous professional skills through this experience.

WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
I always tell people about the importance of making the most of every opportunity. I only had 8 weeks abroad, and although that may sound like a long period, I wanted to see numerous sites in Barcelona, try different foods, and I wanted to experience so many cultures, which meant lots of traveling. There are so many opportunities to explore, and you have to take it upon yourself to make the most of every moment.
