WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class abroad was my healthy lifestyles class. Not only did I learn how to achieve a more happy, healthy lifestyle, but we had weekly group projects in which I got to work with different classmates each time. This provided me with the chance to get to know each person in the class, which is very rare at my home university. I have very fond memories of our class discussions and the field trip we took to Uvita.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
During several of my trips in Costa Rica, I visited different indigenous communities. It was so interesting learning about their way of life and seeing where they resided. One of my fondest memories was being taught how to make both jewelry and tamales while learning more about the culture.
