CEA CAPA Signs CANIE Accord, Strengthening Commitment to Climate Action in International Education
CEA CAPA Education Abroad is proud to announce its endorsement of the CANIE Accord, a step in advancing sustainability and environmental responsibility across international education.
Developed by the Climate Action Network for International Educations (CANIE), the CANIE Accord invited organizations to align with global climate agreements and scientific recommendations while taking meaningful action to reduce their carbon footprint. By signing the accord, CEA CAPA joins a growing coalition of international education organizations committed to a more sustainable future for global learning.
"On behalf of all of us at CEA CAPA Education Abroad, we are so pleased to have the opportunity to join the CANIE Accords and are grateful to CANIE for their commitment to climate action,” said Lou Berends, associate provost of CEA CAPA. “We believe in the shared responsibility of everyone in international education to take real, sustainable steps that reduce our impact and help create a more sustainable future for global learning."
This initiative reflects CEA CAPA’s ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into all aspects of its programs, operations, and organizational culture. It also supports the organization’s broader mission to promote inclusive, globally engaged, and responsible educational experiences.
