Choosing Dublin, Ireland

"So... why did you choose Ireland?"
 Ha'Penny Bridge

This is a question I've gotten multiple times from friends and family back in the U.S.  They just couldn't imagine that I'd want to go somewhere cold during the Winter season. However, coming to Dublin, Ireland was a non-question for me and here's why:
 Shopping on the high streets

I knew I wanted to study abroad, but the options were tight because my major (Strategic Communications, Social Media) is so specific. After looking around, CEA study abroad program in Dublin seemed like a perfect fit. If you have read any of my previous posts, you may have noticed I mention that Dublin is the tech and media headquarters for all of Europe. That dovetailed perfectly with my degree and on top of that, I have a lot of Irish heritage that was aching to return to its homeland.

The school and administration have been incredible during my stay here. As strange as it sounds, being at the school and going on the CEA trips were by far my favorite part of the international experience!

The people and culture here are amazing, and in my mind, it is easily worth bearing a cold day. I cannot wait to return!
