This summer, we're putting a spotlight on some of our male study abroad students. They're from a wide variety of universities around the U.S. and they decided that their college experience meant taking their classroom global--so they packed up and headed out to cities around the world to soak up a new culture, immerse themselves in a new language and meet amazing friends, all while taking classes.
But the phenomenal group of CEA alumni we're about to introduce has another role: They're also rock star members of CEA's Alumni Ambassador program. (Translation: They loved studying abroad so much that they decided to help others study abroad after coming back to their home universities!) Through that program, they've done an awesome job representing CEA at presentations, study abroad fairs, alumni panels, and other on-campus events.
Not only are we featuring these guys in this post, but some have also offered to stick around the blog this summer to share their study abroad experiences and reflections. (Spoiler alert: They all recommend studying abroad to other guys out there wondering if it's the right choice for them.)
Here's a sneak peak of what they'll be blogging about:
- Why they selected their study abroad city
- How study abroad applies to life after graduation
- What suggestions they have for dealing with common study abroad barriers
- What myths they think keep students from studying abroad
