Brick Lane: This area is known for its hipsters and art work. Here you'll find great vintage shops as well as contemporary fashion boutiques. Try a bagel, a beer, and the best Indian food you'll ever have while studying abroad in London.

Borough Market: This market is known for its selection of food. Whether you're a carnivore of vegetarian, there's something for you. Here I had the most amazing veggie burger ever and always drool over the beef.

Camden Market: Known for its eclectic array of people--from Punks to fashionistas--the Camden Market is huge. The old horse stables have been converted into shops selling antiques and goth accessories. There's something for everyone, and way too many options for lunch.

Portobello Market/Notting Hill: Pastel town homes on cobblestone streets--this market is never ending. Start with the random collections of antiques, check out the cheap-chic threads, and end with the jerk chicken.
