DESCRIPTION

The course aims to provide a general understanding of political and cultural Euro-Mediterranean relations, starting from the pre-colonial age to the national liberation, until the recent Arab revolutions. It takes into consideration the Muslim diaspora in Europe too.

The goal is acknowledge the particular economic and socio-political relations within the frame of the cultural and institutional answers elaborated in the Arab Islamic world. A series of case studies will integrate the systemic approach to the study of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
