Goat Farm in the Campagne de Provence

On Friday March 15, 2013, several CEA students and I took a half an hour trip from the centre ville of Aix-en-Provence to the countryside of southern France.  We visited a goat farm and were lucky enough to indulge in some homemade provincial goat cheese! Tout va bien dans le sud de la France!
The entrance of the goat and fromage (cheese) farm fellow CEA members and I visited this past week.

The beautiful countryside of Provence is full of vineyards that grow grapes for wine among other fruits and vegetables.

Me in Provence! Le Mistral (the infamous northern wind currents) was blowing on this day so it was super chilly.  Good thing I brought my beret!
The owner and manager of the farm explaining the different types of goat cheese her farm produces.

The pen where the goats are held - we were able to pet them!

This baby goat is less than a week old!

Me tasting the cheese from the goats after learning how it was made.
